Our Island

A secluded island escape unlike any other

Sand Island Resort sits on its own secluded stretch of Chindonan Island, between Coron and Culion, with no neighbors immediately around us — no other resort, no other house, nothing but nature as far as you can see. Listen to nothing but waves and birds, snorkel a magnificent house reef that extends for miles in both directions, and watch the sun set over islands and open ocean every evening.

We are an official PADI Dive Resort, solar-powered, and connected to the world via Starlink satellite. We have more than 300 metres of beaches and nine stunning houses and bungalows, each with its own character and ocean view.

Island Hopping

Five extraordinary island hopping routes

Our fleet of six speedboats — including a new 35-foot vessel — travels at 25mph, more than twice as fast as local boats. Island hopping starts at ₱9,000 per day for up to 2 guests, plus ₱1,000 per additional guest. Includes boat, captain, gas, and snorkelling gear.

North Shore Coron Island

The most famous sites in Coron — stunning Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, and Twin Lagoons. Best combined with your arrival or departure day to save on transfers.

₱9,000 for up to 2 guests · ₱1,000 per extra guest · Best on arrival/departure day
Lusang, Coral Garden & Pass Island

Our most popular route. Start at Lusang Gunboat — the best snorkelling shipwreck in the Philippines — then Coral Garden reef and the gorgeous sand beach of Pass Island. Possible even on windy days.

₱9,000 for up to 2 guests · ₱1,000 per extra guest · Possible year-round
Malcapuya, Banana & Ditaytayan

Three stunning islands to our south, each with gorgeous white sand beaches and excellent snorkelling reefs. Perfect for those seeking remote tranquility and pristine nature.

₱12,000 for up to 2 guests · ₱1,000 per extra guest
Calis Point — The Hidden Secret

The breathtaking southern tip of Coron Island, where tourist boats rarely venture. A secret lagoon usually empty of visitors, many beautiful beaches, and a cathedral cave dive. Accessible only on calm days — which makes it all the more special. My personal favourite until I discovered Black Island.

₱16,000 for up to 2 guests · ₱1,000 per extra guest · Calm days only

Scuba Diving

An entire Japanese fleet lies beneath these waters

Official PADI Dive Resort

Coron is world-renowned for its spectacular wreck diving — the remains of a Japanese WWII supply fleet rest in crystal-clear waters, encrusted with corals and teeming with marine life. Our house reef is exceptional for night dives, with seahorses, cuttlefish, frogfish, and turtles. We promise you a great and memorable dive experience.

Fun dives are ₱1,500 per person plus expenses (₱650 gear, ₱400 per tank, gas and captain if going by speedboat to wrecks). PADI courses available for all levels.

Featured Dive Sites

Okikawa Maru
A 160-metre WWII oil tanker, the crown jewel of Coron diving. Depths from 9–25m, suitable for Open Water divers. Spectacular coral life — like swimming through an aquarium.
Akitsushima
One of only two seaplane tenders in the Japanese navy. Deep dive to 28m. Best combined with Okikawa for the legendary "Aki-Oki" dive day.
Olympia
This has become our favorite dive, because of the big school of silvery jacks swirling around the towers and all the schools of other fish too. The only Japanese wreck that feels like a pirate ship, with raised bow and stern and railings decorated by corals and stone fish.
Black Island Wreck
Crystal-clear water, large schools of fish, and an intact electrical room. Combines beautifully with a day on Black Island's extraordinary white sand beach.
House Reef — Night Dives
Not to be missed. Seahorses, cuttlefish, purple bobtail squid, decorator crabs, frogfish, turtles, and more — right in front of our houses.

Dining

From our kitchen to your table

Our full-service kitchen offers an extensive menu of Filipino and international dishes, using fresh local seafood, imported meats, and local produce. Breakfasts from ₱250, lunches and dinners from ₱550. We also have a bar. Or cook your own meals in your fully-equipped house kitchen.
